Born in the once small town of Maun in Botswana in the 70s, I was lucky to have grown up with the wildlife and beauty that Africa has to offer. I remember as a young girl collecting beads in the soil in the hills in Fikafuti with my father, they were glass trade beads, tiny, dull but yet colourful. We would spend hours picking through the sand and there was always a cry of delight when we found the large blue glass beads that would glisten when we held them towards the sun. I have always had a fascination for sewing and fabrics and decided to dedicate my work to my young daughter, Isabel Sophia, who was born in Nicaragua and I draw my inspirations from Africa and am mixing them up with wonderful sights and history of Nicaragua.
I hope you enjoy my designs and I am always willing to make up any orders and share with you the joy colours can bring to ones life.
